There is no one route into aquaculture. The Animal Health team comes from a variety of experiences and backgrounds but is united by a mission to drive sustainability in aquaculture. We sat down with some of the team to ask why they decided to pursue a career with Benchmark, and what it is they enjoy most about their work.

I feel proud to be part of an innovative company like Benchmark, working to develop products that will have a positive impact on the industry. I knew when I studied vaccines at university that I wanted to pursue a career in a scientific field, and now I feel very lucky to be able to do so with a company that is so passionate about the welfare of the planet. It’s gratifying to know that any product we develop aims to reduce the burden on salmon farmers, and in turn, promote sustainable aquaculture.

I joined Benchmark Animal Health in 2021, working on CleanTreat^®. My role challenges me every day, and I am proud of having the chance to develop new skills and explore endless possibilities. From the beginning, I ​was thrilled with the idea of becoming part of an eco-friendly and sustainable big family. It truly feels like a family as everyone I work with is both welcoming and kind – they see the person inside the employee.
